Free Exhibition Passes at Asia E- Commerce Expo 2015




On November 25, 2015 at SMX Convention Center, Taguig from 8AM to 6PM, one of the much awaited E- Commerce Show in Asia will happen. Asia E- Commerce Expo 2015 is expecting to draw crowds especially that big brands joins the exhibition to promote their products and services that includes Citibank, Zalora, Lamudi, Payoneer, Carmudi, Zoomanity Group, Elabram Systems Group, Tree Top Adventure and more. The exhibition viewing is free but still need to register on the actual event.

Another activity during the Asia E- Commerce Expo will be the conference where business leaders and entrepreneurs joins the event as speakers to discuss about E-Privacy, Digital Marketing, E- Logistics, StartUp Innovations, E- Commerce and E- Payment.

[Korea] Number of Bosingak Bell-Ringing Ceremonies increased

One of the most representative experiences in Seoul, Bosingak Bell-Ringing Ceremony is providing even more chances for foreign tourists to participate since October, 2015. 

The bell tolling experience, which was previously only offered on Tuesdays, has now changed its operation schedule to run every day of the week excluding Mondays. 

This exotic and memorable experience requires no advanced reservation and those who wish to participate can show up by 11:40 in the morning at the second floor of Bosingak Belfry. In addition, participants can now try on Korea's authentic traditional clothing, such as hanbok and palace guard costumes from the Joseon Dynasty and take photographs to capture the moment.

[Korea] Group tourist visa fee exemption till December, 2015

Visa fee exemption period, which started in July of this year, has been extended to December 31, 2015. The exemption applies to group tourists from China and four Southeast Asian countries including Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia and Cambodia.

Group tourists from the countries mentioned above are exempt from the previously required 15 US dollar processing fee.

In addition, Chinese group tourists in possession of Japanese group visas are allowed to travel in Korea without a visa for up to 15 days.

[Korea] K-smile, Korea smiles and the world smiles back



Korea Tourism Organization embarks on the “K-smile” campaign in sync with promoting the successful hosting of 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.

K-smile will operate with the slogan “Korea smiles and world smiles back” to greet foreign tourists with kind hospitality, which will increase their satisfaction level while traveling around the country, making tourists want to visit Korea again and again. The campaign is a nationwide project involving the assistance of all citizens to spread the spirit of a warm welcome. The campaign will start in restaurants, shopping facilities, accommodations and other places most frequently visited by foreign tourists, with plans to expand further to facilities throughout the country.

During the campaign, a variety of events will be held such as "smile photo contest" and "letter to the kindest Korean". More detailed information can be found at the official website of Korea Tourism Organization from November, 2015.

[Korea] Express your Korea! National Brand Competition

In celebration of the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Korea, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Korea is holding a competition under the theme of “Brand Korea! Marching into the world!”.

All who are interested can apply either as individuals or as part of a team, regardless of age, gender, or nationality. Applications are being accepted through online submission until November 8, 2015.

Submissions can be made into the following categories: video, photography, design, writing and music. Applicants can choose one method and send their entry along with an explanation on the planning procedure and background. The winning submissions will be determined by voting from judges and professionals, as well as members of the general audience.
